Bird Watching at Kilchattan Bay

There are many excellent locations on the Isle of Bute for bird watching and Kilchattan bay is no exception. Wading birds enjoy the expansive sands at low tide and many birds either winter here or are resident all year round.

In the spring and summer time it’s always worth watching out for birds like gannets fishing offshore near the bay.
